Throughout the 2022-23 school year, Kelly Corrigan visited 15 college campuses to uncover answers to the provocative question, “What’s the point of college?” Today we’re sharing the first of our three favorite episodes from the series, and we look forward to seeing you on April 26th ([link removed]) for our discussion with Kelly and Challenge Success Co-Founder, Denise Pope, Ph.D.

In this episode, Kelly sits down with Columbia University’s Andy Delbanco to get to the heart of the matter. And the answer, of course, has a lot of heart — Delbanco believes a key takeaway of a liberal arts education is learning the ways in which we depend on each other, for better and more fulfilling lives.

This episode touches on the importance of conducive spaces, how a child learns to think for themselves, and how they’ll push back on the idea of being who the world wants them to be (and find who they are meant to be in the process).
