When you elected me to Congress, I made a promise to fight for you and your family every single day. And just seven months into this new term, look what we’ve accomplished already: we advanced the Equality Act, a minimum wage increase, a background check bill, and campaign finance reform.

Despite this progress, we can’t afford to take anything for granted. Already, Trump’s pick for my district announced he’s running -- again. I’m ready to earn the First District’s vote again in 2020, but I can’t do it alone.

I know our team. I know we have the grassroots momentum needed to put up a good fight. We have too much at stake, which is why I’m asking you to give what you can to our campaign before the end-of-month deadline tonight, so we can keep making strides in the other Washington.

When we take back the Senate and the White House, we must guarantee that our new leaders will have a strong majority in the House to stand by them. And I know the last thing our next Democratic president needs is a Trump crony replacing me in the House.

So we have to keep looking towards the future, even while we celebrate these victories for working families.
