Hey John,

As the Moore-Miller administration works on wrapping up the legislative session with our partners in the General Assembly, we have more updates on the progress we’ve made together this past week.

Last week, Wes:

  • Addressed leaders in the green energy industry in Baltimore to make it clear that Maryland will become the offshore wind capitol of the country, as we fight climate change, create good-paying jobs, and move toward a clean energy future.

  • Became the first governor in our state’s history to issue a proclamation declaring March 31 as Transgender Day of Visibility, to recognize the beauty and strength of a community that embodies the best of Maryland. He also plans to sign the Trans Health Equity Act when it arrives at his desk to require Maryland Medicaid to provide coverage for additional gender-affirming treatments.

  • Named March Multiple Sclerosis Month in the state of Maryland in support of the thousands of Marylanders living with M.S., including his sister and his wife, Dawn, who recently shared her courageous M.S. journey.

Plus, Wes was named one of Politico’s 40 most powerful people on race and politics! Check out the full feature here.

Our state is moving forward, leading with innovation and love to build one Maryland. Thank you for being a part of our movement.
