BJS seeks applications for administering the fiscal year 2023 Firearm Inquiry Statistics (FIST) program, 2023?2026. This program provides a comprehensive summary of firearm background check data and national estimates of the total number of firearm purchase applications received and denied, as well as reasons for denial.
Applications will be submitted in a two-step process, each with its own deadline:
- Step 1: Submit an SF-424 and an SF-LLL in Grants.gov. Grants.gov forms are due on June 5, 2023, by 8:59 p.m. ET.
- Step 2: Submit the full application including attachments in JustGrants.usdoj.gov. The full JustGrants package is due on June 12, 2023, by 8:59 p.m. ET.
