Dear John, Having a lawyer is vitally important in immigration court. However, the Migrant Protection Protocols—also known as the “Remain in Mexico” program—make that nearly impossible. This dangerous program puts up a wall between lawyers and their clients.
Rather than turning away people fleeing harm, we should ensure that the United States returns to a tradition of protection and provides people with a fair day in court. Sincerely, |
