Groundwork Project is entering our third year(!) and expanding our wrap-around support, helping our grantees access the trainings, mentorship, digital assets, and other key resources that building a sustainable organization requires.

Part of our expanded support is Groundwork staff being available to our grantees in our focus states. As you’re reading this, we’re headed to Alabama to meet up with grantees, stakeholders and other funders who are working together to develop and execute a long-term, Southern power-building strategy. We’re looking forward to deepening connections and supporting our partners and organizers in their current actions on the ground.

Founded by Joe Kennedy III, Groundwork Project invests in year-round, local community organizing in places Democrats have gotten used to writing off. With a focus on Appalachia, the Deep South, and the Plains, we support local advocates and activists working to build durable political infrastructure and secure power for those historically excluded.
