John,
It's August 2021: Kabul has fallen to the Taliban and the U.S. is
withdrawing troops, leaving tens of thousands of Afghans vulnerable -
including our Afghan allies who fought beside the U.S.
**76,000 Afghans**

were evacuated to the U.S. but weren't given permanent residency. Most
Afghans were processed under humanitarian parole - which offers
limited benefits that expire and provides no clear pathway to
citizenship.
**Our team is working hard for Congress to pass legislation like the
Afghan Adjustment Act to give these families a pathway to permanent
residency. Will you help us in our advocacy efforts to support families
fleeing aggression by making a donation today?**

This temporary status is not sustainable. Our Afghan allies are living
in a state of limbo, uncertain about their future in the U.S. Their
temporary status will end in the coming months, and they are running out
of time. Congress must immediately introduce and pass the Afghan
Adjustment Act. This lifeline will provide a pathway to permanent status
for our Afghan allies and expand the efforts to protect Afghans left
behind. That's why we need your support!
**Will you help us reach our end-of-quarter goal of $10,000 and continue
our efforts to pass legislation like the Afghan Adjustment Act?**

The United States made a promise to those who put their lives on the
line. Together, we can honor that promise by continuing the efforts to
pass the Afghan Adjustment Act. Our Afghan allies deserve the
opportunity to continue building their lives in the United States -
not to live in limbo and fear of the future. Without the passage of the
Afghan Adjustment Act they risk the potential of having to return to
Afghanistan, putting their lives in danger.
**We cannot do this alone. Help us reach our end-of-quarter goal!**

Thank you for your support,
