Happy National Volunteer Month! Though we celebrate volunteer lawyers like you all year, we wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for being a dedicated member of the We The Action community.

We also have some exciting volunteer opportunities for lawyers — including a chance to volunteer with an organization that was nominated this year for a Nobel Peace Prize! Read on for more information about those projects:

6—10 HOURS Research Cases to Help Formerly Convicted People Restore Their Voting Rights Florida Rights Restoration Coalition Volunteer with an org nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize! People with previous felony convictions (aka returning citizens) need lawyers to conduct case research and help them restore their right to vote. This is a remote opportunity. Though this organization is based in Florida, lawyers barred in any state are welcome to volunteer.

1—5 HOURS Help Ensure Students Get Their Need-Based Scholarships #YesSheCan Campaign Help an organization dedicated to making education more affordable for need-based scholarship recipients understand how to use the Equal Protection Clause to combat scholarship award displacement. This is a remote opportunity, and lawyers from any state are welcome to volunteer.
