TOP Summit 2023 Videos
📺 Recordings of TOP Summit 2023 are now available on the Census Bureau's YouTube channel. TOP Summit 2023 included three days of keynotes, lightning talks, interactive sessions, hands-on learning, and technology demos.
🌎 In March, we celebrated St. Patrick's Day with this interactive U.S. map of Irish ancestry. The map shows counties that are 20% or more Irish (dark green) and ranges down to less than 5% (light green).
Hover your mouse over any county to see its name, the state it’s in and the share of its population that is Irish. In the top left corner, select a state to zoom in to for a better view of counties in that state.
📉 The new Index of Economic Activity (IDEA) effectively combines 15 of the primary economic data series produced by the Census Bureau to yield a single time series as a weighted combination.Â
It incorporates the most recent values for each component series, including new estimates and revisions to previous estimates released for any of its component series. Values for the index are available from August 2004 to the present and will be updated on each business day moving forward. Historical data of the index are also available for download.
