Friend,

I know that you received more emails than usual from us recently in the lead up to the first FEC fundraising deadline of this campaign. So, I just wanted to pause for a moment and say thank you. As well as explain what you helped us accomplish in our very first month of the Senate campaign.

First off, all the support you showed in March made a big difference: We exceeded our goal and raised $3 million in our first 30 days. 89% of our contributions were $100 or less and we received donations from 80 of Michigan’s 83 counties. Lots of people talk about a people-powered campaign, but this is the way to demonstrate that — by people like you stepping up and making it happen. These are the kinds of indicators that show to both our potential competitors and our friends that we are building a formidable campaign to keep this seat blue in the Senate.

It’s no secret that this campaign is going to be expensive, and my commitment, dating back to 2018, to not accept corporate PAC money means we will be turning to grassroots supporters like you throughout the course of this race for support. And just know that I greatly appreciate any support you are able to give whenever you are able to give it.
