I wanted to give a heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated to our campaign ahead of last week’s FEC fundraising deadline. With your support, we met and exceeded our first quarter fundraising goal!

Your support couldn't have come at a better time. We’re beginning to see some of the dangerous policies this Republican-led House is working to advance -- including an energy bill that’s really just a giveaway to fossil fuel companies and big polluters. The importance of retaking the majority has never been more clear.

The fact that we met our first quarter fundraising goal is a great show of strength as we prepare to face eventual challengers in IL-17. It will be critical to continue meeting these benchmarks as the campaign progresses – especially since we know dark-money funded corporate PACs will be pouring money into attacks against me.

I’m heartened to know that grassroots supporters like you have consistently come through for us when we needed it most. Without your backing, I wouldn’t have been elected to Congress.
