New Teaching ToolWhen ‘Just Joking’ is No Joke: How to Respond When Students' Jokes are Biased or Offensive
This resource provides educators with strategies and suggested language for when they face this common situation: a student makes a joke about someone’s identity or makes an offensive or biased joke, and then exclaims “just joking!” when what they said is deemed biased or offensive.
