Deadline Arrives Tomorrow for Claims in Bauserman Unemployment Insurance Agency False Fraud Class Action





*LANSING*?? Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel is reissuing this class-action deadline notice and providing resources to any who question their eligibility for compensation or seek direct channels to file a claim. The deadline for Michigan residents to join the proposed Class Action Settlement detailed in the Amended Settlement Agreement in?"Bauserman""?v. Unemployment Insurance Agency"?is tomorrow, April 5, 2023.

Eligible claimants may have received phone calls, emails, text messages, letters in the mail, or social media messages from the claims administrator, Analytics Consulting, LLC. The Department of the Attorney General is including this information to convey to potential claimants that communication, via any of these mediums, from Analytics Consulting, LLC are indicative that the recipient may be eligible for participation in the settlement and that these communications are not fraudulent or a scam, but legitimate communications from the claims administrator. Furthermore, the claims administrator Analytics Consulting, LLC can be reached at 833-438-5028.

Eligible claimants are required to submit a completed Registration Form, by?*April 5, 2023*,?and submit a Claim Form by?*April 14, 2023*.?The Registration Form and Claim Form are available for completion on-line [ [link removed] ].

?It is a good sign that precaution is growing among Michigan residents when it comes to scams using class action language to deceive their victims, as we have warned of in the past,? said Nessel. ?But also the deadline for participation in this settlement is fast approaching and if anyone is confused about notices or correspondence they have received related to this settlement, I strongly encourage them to review the information we have made available, reach out to the claims administrator if they question their eligibility, and, if eligible, to file quickly and confidently at UIAClassAction.com.?

*INFORMATION FOR CLAIMANTS:*

Eligible claimants may be entitled to an award from the Compensation Fund for their economic losses and they may also be eligible for an additional award of compensation for hardships related to the wrongful collection activity.

To be eligible for an award of compensation, a?Claimant must meet the definition of the Settlement Class [ [link removed] ]:

A Claimant is eligible if:


* He/she received an initial Determination or Re-Determination of Intentional Misrepresentation issued by the Agency between October 1, 2013, and August 31, 2015, issued initially through the Agency?s auto-adjudication process; and
* Suffered a first Collection on or after March 9, 2015, and he/she does not opt-out from the Settlement.

The Notice was mailed to each known Class Member in February. This Notice provided:


* Contact information for Class Counsel and the Claims Administrator;
* A table of important dates;
* Instructions on what documents Claimants must submit to be eligible under the Settlement Agreement; and
* The appeal process concerning disputes about eligibility for participation in the Settlement Class and disagreements over the monetary award.
