This morning, the former president of the United States is poised to
be processed for crimes related to campaign finance violations and
falsification of business records.

While we have stood by our belief that no one is above the law, the
MAGA GOP has begun its inevitable assault on truth and justice.

Fiction: This case is inconsequential and a "political attack."

 

Fact: Under Trump's own DOJ, his co-conspirator Michael Cohen was
charged with crimes in relation to the case.

Fiction: This case came "out of nowhere," and is an overreach of
prosecutorial discretion.

Fact: This case was being reviewed until Trump's Attorney General
Bill Barr stopped the Manhattan DA from pursuing it.

Fiction: This is a "weaponization" of the federal government and the
justice system.

Fact: Donald Trump broke the law, and has potentially broken many
more.

The truth should matter. The finality of the law and moral precedent
should matter. But they don't for MAGA Republicans.
