UN about the human rights emergency that is occurring in the US as
abortion is criminalized in many states since Roe was overturned (read here).

Christine Ryan: Essentially, women's lives and health are on the line in the US right now. Anyone who is capable of pregnancy is now at risk. We're actually seeing a crisis that has never been seen, I think, in any other country. With regards to criminal abortion bans, we think it is crucial that abortion continues to be seen as a human rights issue. Denial of abortion care can constitute a violation of the right to be free from torture and cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment. It is a real danger that we just become used to what's happening until it knocks on your door.
Sam Goldman on the Trump indictment: Every crisis Trump and his fascist party gets through strengthens the US fascist movement, leaving a core a battle tested and even more dangerous, genocidal revanchist lunatics in power to set the terms for all of society. Look at what has happened to abortion rights in this country. Look at how they are gutting voting rights, look at what they are doing to transgender people. We must not be lulled into submission by this or future indictments and prosecutions of Trump. Whether or not Trump is able to remain the GOP presidential candidate. This indictment cannot and will not stop this fascist movement -- that is up to us.
