I’m proud to work with a diverse network of advocates and inspiring student leaders at GLSEN helping to ensure that schools in every community have the tools and support to create affirming environments for LGBTQ+ students.

Because of your support, we are doing life-changing work. We’re building our collective power to foster support for LGBTQ+ young people.

I’m excited to announce one of our most ambitious campaigns: Rise Up for LGBTQ+ Youth! In honor of the over 2 million LGBTQ+ youth who exist in the United States, we are asking our supporters to Rise Up and take our pledge to show your support: [link removed]

Together we are expanding our community and encouraging people across the country to join us and take bold steps to hold extremists accountable and to protect queer and trans youth from their attacks.

None of us can afford to be bystanders. As state legislative sessions across the country kick off, we must all be ready to do our part to protect education and equality for all people. We need more allies if we’re going to not only defend, but expand rights and opportunities for LGBTQ+ young people this year: [link removed]

We have some tough fights ahead, but our community is powerful and resilient. We’re taking our anger, our lessons learned and our hope, and using them to Rise Up and fight harder than ever this 2023.
