Mass Shooter in Tennessee Planned Attack for Months

Townhall: Transgender mass shooter Audrey Hale plotted the attack “for months.” Journals found in Hale’s car and home revealed the blueprints for the attack on Covenant School, a private Christian academy. Hale was biologically female but identified using male pronouns, using two firearms described by the media as AR-15-style to commit this act of mass murder. Six people were killed, including three children (Townhall). Breaking911: NASHVILLE SCHOOL SHOOTING: Journals found in killer’s car & home. Gavin Newsom Threatens Republicans Who Are, “Hell-bent on gaining power and keeping it”
Daily Wire: If you live in a red state, you better watch out: California Governor Gavin Newsom could be coming to your town as part of his national “Campaign for Democracy” or something. Well, you might see him moseying around your neck of the woods if you have an effective state legislature and governor passing laws that protect children in the womb and from mutilation, strengthen the education curriculum, take America’s sovereignty seriously, among other excellent initiatives (Daily Wire). AM 870 The Answer: “Everything he’s upset about, he does. It’s ultimate gaslighting in this video.” – Jennifer Horn (Twitter). Gavin Newsom: “Authoritarian leaders are so hell-bent on gaining power and keeping it that they’re directly attacking our freedoms in state after state. We’re going to these states and investing in people and organizations that are fighting back” (Campaign for Democracy).

OPEC Cuts Oil Production by Over One Million Barrels Per Day
Spencer Brown: The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) made a surprise Sunday announcement that its oil-rich member states would reduce production by more than one million barrels of oil per day through the end of 2023. Essentially overnight, the price of crude oil surged more than six percent following OPEC’s announcement — and it’s another blow to President Biden’s attempts to keep gas prices low as inflation continues to rage and the busy summer travel season is likely to drive demand and prices higher again (Townhall). Reuters: The surprise announcement helped push up prices by $5 per barrel to above $85 per barrel. Russian deputy prime minister Alexander Novak said the Western banking crisis was one of the reasons behind the cut as well as “interference with market dynamics”, a Russian expression to describe a Western price cap on Russian oil. Fears of a fresh banking crisis over the past month have led investors to sell out of risk assets such as commodities with oil prices falling to near $70 per barrel from near an all-time high of $139 in March 2022 (Reuters).

Speaker McCarthy to Meet with Taiwan President Wednesday
CNN: House Speaker Kevin McCarthy is poised to meet with Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen on Wednesday – a historic event that comes amid warnings from China. The California Republican’s office shared details of the meeting in a release Monday morning. The release states that McCarthy will host a bipartisan meeting with Tsai at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in California. That group will include Rep. Pete Aguilar of California, who is a member of Democratic leadership, and the bipartisan leaders of the select committee on China (CNN). National Review: The Chinese Communist Party’s propaganda arms whipped into action in recent days, as Tsai made a stop in New York City on her way to Central America. Her first leg through the U.S. ended on Friday, and she’s currently wrapping up a swing through Guatemala and Belize, before heading to Los Angeles this week (National Review). China threatened military drills violating Taiwanese airspace just as when Nancy Pelosi visited the country in August.

Country Music Awards Feature Drag Show, Gun Control Activism
Daily Wire: The annual Country Music Television (CMT) Awards show Sunday night was infused with political messages from 29-year-old singer Kelsea Ballerini. Ballerini performed on stage with drag queens from a reality TV show in an apparent rebuke of GOP-backed legislation. She also seemed to push gun control measures while invoking the recent school shooting in Nashville, Tennessee, perpetrated by a former student, a 28-year-old woman who identified as a man. A GOP-backed law in Tennessee would ban drag queen performances for children and in public spaces where they could be viewed by minors. The law was set to take effect at the beginning of April but has been temporarily blocked by a federal judge (Daily Wire). Tomi Lahren: Last night CMT used a “country music” award show to push gun control and drag queens. They have completely forgotten/ ignored their actual fan base (Twitter).

Trans Star Dylan Mulvaney Partners with Bud Light to Celebrate the Person’s “365 Days of Girlhood”
New York Post: Trans TikTok star Dylan Mulvaney was announced as the latest spokesperson for Bud Light in a pair of videos that were attacked on social media. The trans activist revealed on Saturday that the beer company sent packs Bud Light featuring the influencer’s face as a way to celebrate the “365 Days of Girlhood” milestone Mulvaney recently reached. The announcement was met with backlash with Twitter users describing the ad campaign as another attempt to push gender propaganda (New York Post). Robby Starbuck: Message to conservative families from Bud Light seems to be: We will encourage and even celebrate the erasure of men and women along with all the values you care about. They’ve gone totally woke. Will you ever spend your money with them now (Twitter)?

North Carolina Community College to Revise School Policy After Drag Queens Inappropriately Touch Minor on Campus
Fox News: A North Carolina community college is looking to “revise campus policies” after coming under fire last week for a video showing a drag queen straddling a female student sitting in a chair during an LGBTQ+ pride event on campus. Critics say Winston-Salem area Forsyth Technical Community College, which offers two on-campus high school programs allowing students as young as 14 to enroll beginning in the ninth grade, poses larger concerns over minors being exposed to sexually explicit behavior. Alex Nester of Parents Defending Education ripped the incident Sunday invoking overarching concerns over what’s going on in America’s education system and asking anchor Mike Emanuel, “Where are the adults” (Fox News)? Libs of TikTok: This is from a drag event in ForsythTechCC where they also invited younger kids. A parent told me the kid getting the lap dance is a 10th grader (Twitter).

McDonald’s Preparing for Big Layoffs
Washington Post: McDonald’s is closing corporate offices this week as the company prepares to deliver layoff decisions as part of a broader restructuring plan. Employees of nearly a dozen offices across the country have been asked to work remotely through Wednesday while layoff announcements go out. In an email to workers last week, McDonald’s requested that employees cancel all in-person meetings at company headquarters. The burger giant counts 150,000 employees among its corporate workforce and its non-franchised restaurants. More than half of these employees work outside the United States. The layoffs come as McDonald’s embarks on a restructuring plan, “Accelerating the Arches 2.0,” in which the company aims to open more restaurants in response to increased demand. The company already has more than 38,000 restaurants in more than 100 countries (Washington Post). CNBC: McDonald’s said the layoffs weren’t a cost-cutting measure, but instead are meant to help the company innovate faster and work more efficiently (CNBC).

Finland PM Sanna Marin Loses Election to Conservative Opponent
Washington Examiner: Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin conceded defeat on Sunday in her country’s parliamentary election after Finland’s main conservative party won a narrow race to shut the door on the liberal champion’s hopes for reelection. With all the votes counted, the National Coalition Party claimed victory with 20.8% of the vote, closely followed by the right-wing populist party the Finns with 20.1%. Marin’s Social Democrats came in third at 19.9% (Washington Examiner). HotAIr: Marin is popular in Finland. At age 37, she is one of Europe’s youngest leaders. She has received praise for her strong support of Ukraine and for her work with President Sauli Niinisto on Finland’s successful application to join NATO.
