In two separate cases regarding California's Unsafe Handgun Act, the following has recently occurred:

In Renna v. Bonta, Judge Sabraw of the California District Court issued a preliminary injunction against microstamping requirements, chamber loaded indicators, and magazine disconnect mechanisms.

In Boland v Bonta, AG Bonta appealed U.S. District Judge Carney’s preliminary injunction against the Unsafe Handgun Act. Judge Carney called the UHA “unconstitutional” and unenforceable. The case is now moving to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
