People shouldn’t have to jump through hoops to get access to necessary health care.

Right now, there are unnecessary restrictions and excessive regulations on the safe and effective medication abortion drug mifepristone. These restrictions place additional red tape for both providers and patients on a drug that’s been approved for over 20 years and used by more than five million people to safely end their pregnancies.
It shouldn’t be this way — and Dem AGs know that. That’s why 18 Democratic AGs are fighting in court right now to say that the requirements around the abortion pill mifepristone, including a certification process for anyone prescribing it, place an undue burden on patients and providers.
Washington State AG Bob Ferguson and Oregon AG Ellen Rosenblum are leading the charge and they, along with this coalition of Dem AGs, filed a lawsuit to have these unnecessary restrictions eliminated. With extremist Republicans trying to further restrict abortion access everywhere, we’re so thankful to have Dem AGs who aren’t afraid to fight for our reproductive rights — but they need more support.
