The March NEWsflash
Friend,

Welcome back to the March edition of The NEWsflash, a collection of stories and happenings from Northeast Wisconsin over the past month. From celebrating Eagle Scouts to breaking ground on new business expansions, March was filled with events that highlighted the best of Northeast Wisconsin.

I've included some photos and highlights from a few of the events my team and I were able to attend. You can also find information on how my office can help you with any federal problem you may have. As always, please don't hesitate to contact my office if we can ever be of assistance.

Semper Fi,
One-Stop Shop: This month, a member of my staff had the opportunity to attend the ribbon cutting event for Line-X as they celebrated the opening of a new location in Kaukauna. For over 25 years, Line-X has offered premium services in protective coating technology and I wish them all the best at their new location.
Recognizing Young Leaders: A member of my staff also had the honor to attend Gus Terrien's Eagle Scout Court of Honor at Grace Lutheran Church in Green Bay. Gus is a member of Boy Scout Troop 1052 and constructed a gaga pit at Josten Park for his service project. Congratulations Gus on this remarkable accomplishment!
Live at LiveX: After touring LiveX's Green Bay facility last month, I finally got to see their production capabilities firsthand during an interview on ABC This Week. LiveX used their state-of-art communications equipment to produce a high quality shot that allowed for seamless communication for this remote interview.
New Places in NEW: My team was proud to join Children's Hospital of Wisconsin as they opened their new state of the art facility in Appleton. The new facility is more than 50,000 square feet and will improve access for thousands of children and families to world-class care closer to home.
State of NWTC: A member of my team attended the State of Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) Address held in the Trades & Engineering Technology Atrium on March 28. During the Address, individuals heard from President Jeffrey Rafn who will be retiring this summer following 25 years of distinguished service in higher education.
Breaking Ground: On March 21, a member of my staff visited KS Large Bore Pistons located in Marinette to celebrate its groundbreaking for a 35,000 square foot expansion. The addition will result in the Marinette Plant totaling to approximately 100,000 square feet. The project is also expected to create more than 20 new jobs and will add a new manufacturing line.
Conservation Celebration: My staff also had the opportunity to join Green Bay West Shore Demonstration Farms and Shawano County Forage Council for a forum on conservation farming successes and strategies. Topics during the event included soil health and farmers experiences north of HWY 29, agronomic research, and forage and agronomic outlooks for 2023.
Women in the Pipe Trades: Earlier this month, a member of my staff had the opportunity to attend the Women in Pipe Trades Open House at the Local 400 in Kaukauna. This was a great event that gave women across NEW the the opportunity to explore careers in plumbing, pipefitting, welding, fabrication, and HVAC.
