John, Republicans have a cynical strategy to expand their House majority in 2024 – one that doesn’t involve getting more votes.

POLITICO:
"Republicans are readying to plow ahead with ambitious gerrymandering despite previous reprimands from state courts – now that they’ve elected judges who are less likely to thwart their plans."

For years, Republicans stacked courts with judges they believed would help advance their anti-democratic agenda. Now, they’re counting on the courts to grant a green light for extreme gerrymandering ahead of 2024.

• In North Carolina, Republicans are asking the state’s highest court to roll back fair maps.
• In states like Ohio, Republicans are fighting to defeat challenges to rigged maps.
• And in Wisconsin, right-wing activists are spending record sums to elect a state supreme court justice who they believe will uphold gerrymandered maps.

Here’s the good news John: The fair maps movement has a proven track record of defeating these kinds of attacks on our democracy.

Last November, fair maps advocates helped secure what the New York Times called “the fairest House map of the last 40 years.” If we continue working to elect Democrats who will fight for fairness, we could see even fairer maps in 2024 and beyond – but if we grow complacent, the GOP could roll back our progress before the next election!

President Obama warned that “Our opposition is counting on [us] to lose the energy and drive that our movement has sustained so far. We simply cannot afford to do that.”

Our work is powered by supporters like you. Will you donate today to help the NDR PAC continue working to elect leaders who will fight for a strong democracy?
