John,
Last week, I signed the Affordable Housing and Emergency Homelessness Response Package into law, upholding one of my campaign promises to address the housing crisis with the urgency it deserves.
These bipartisan bills include the funding I proposed in my response to the homelessness state of emergency that I declared on my first full day as Governor.
Oregonians are ready to get to work to address the biggest issues we’re facing, and I’m grateful that the legislature made passing this package an early priority this session. This is a great down payment on our efforts to address the housing and homelessness crisis.
Signing these bills into law is just one of the ways I’m honoring my commitment to all Oregonians to put our state on a brighter path.
Thanks for supporting me in that work.
Onwards,
Tina
