Hey folks, how are you doing?

I’m back on the farm in Montana after a successful week fighting for veterans in Washington. Planting season is on the horizon, so it’s time to make sure all of the equipment is ready to go. And after a busy first quarter, nothing grounds me more than being home with Sharla in the Last Best Place.

The snow is melting so we’ve got water running all across the prairie. But it won’t be long before seeding starts. There is nothing quite like getting your hands in the dirt this time of year. I love being out in the field for 16 hours on the tractor. That is where I can really think and focus on all of the things people bring up with me as I travel around Montana. The absurd partisan bickering and political theater happening in Washington right now does zero to help real people and I’ve had enough.

I grew up in a town of hundreds, not thousands. My grandparents homesteaded the land I grew up on, and the land I farm today. Rural America isn’t a priority for Washington politicians, and that’s exactly why I’m in this fight.

Our political leaders should be doing everything in their power to lower costs for families, make healthcare more affordable, and create good-paying jobs. Because when you work for your country, your country should work for you.

But too many Washington politicians are deep in the pockets of right-wing special interests. They promise one thing when the camera is rolling and then make secret backroom deals with the wealthy mega donors bankrolling their campaigns.

That’s why we’re running this campaign differently. I’m counting on grassroots folks like you chipping in what you can, when you can to build a team strong enough to take on the outside groups and Republican attacks.

So before I get back outside to work on equipment, I’m hoping you can contribute to support our campaign. With your help, we can keep me in Washington fighting for the little guy. Your donation *sows the seeds* of our movement, ensuring we grow and build the resources we need to win. [[link removed]]
