You’ve probably heard the phrase “think globally, act locally.”

It captures how change can ripple out from a single location and grow in strength to have a much broader impact. In this case, that location is Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, where the most important election of the year is taking place. 

Allegheny County, which includes Pittsburgh and the surrounding area, is a critical battleground in the fight to stop fracking and the buildout of petrochemicals. The election results of the Allegheny County Executive race will have huge implications for the fight to ban fracking nationally.
