*What's New?*

In March, we released new updates to improve your experience on data.census.gov [ [link removed] ]. With this release, you will now see:


* Expanded functionality to restore the table back to the default view
* Performed technical updates to support future improvements to the single search
* Continued search engine optimization
* Fixes to 12 defects

The primary feature of the release is the Restore feature. When you click the Restore button at the top of the table, it will clear any custom filters you applied to the columns of the table and return to the original view.

Behind-the-scenes technical updates will support future improvements to the single search. Specifically, this work is designed to support future enhancements to your experience when the search text includes ambiguous terms that could have multiple meanings.

Some output options on data.census.gov [ [link removed] ] allow for customizations to carry over, while others may not. For example:

*Copy/Paste*

Do Customizations Carry Over? Yes.

Select table cells, right click the table and choose ?Copy? or ?Copy with Headers.? [ [link removed]? ]

These options will save the specific table, map, or profile you have clicked into, as well as the other search results that match your criteria. [ [link removed]? ]

Click the "Excel" or "CSV" buttons at the top of the table. [ [link removed]? ]

The Microdata Access Tool (MDAT) is available through data.census.gov [ [link removed] ] and allows users to create custom tabulations with Public Use Microdata from a variety of surveys and years. This webinar will cover the basics of using data.census.gov/mdat [ [link removed] ], including a live demonstration on how to access microdata, and creating custom tabulations, for topics like sex, age, race and ethnicity, income and poverty, and more.
