Christian MP Miriam Cates is making headlines on lots of issues that Christian Institute supporters care about.

She sat down with us for a wide-ranging interview where she discussed sex education, pornography, conversion therapy and her Christian faith.

She praised the bravery of Christian politician Kate Forbes, who narrowly failed to win the contest to become Scotland’s First Minister after appalling attacks on her faith.

Miriam defended the right of Christians to engage in public debates: “My beliefs are based on a Judeo-Christian worldview… people will disagree with what I say and they are perfectly entitled to. But I don’t think that means that we as Christians should have any less of a voice than anybody else with any other worldview.”

The MP also thanked The Christian Institute and its supporters.

Miriam is one of a number of courageous evangelical MPs who are making a real difference in the UK today. Do remember to pray for all those in authority, as the Bible commands us.
