Javier Zamora

Javier Zamora was born in La Herradura, El Salvador. When he was a year old, his father fled due to the Salvadoran Civil War and his mother soon followed. Zamora was raised by his grandparents until he migrated to the U.S. unaccompanied when he was nine. He is the author of the poetry collection, Unaccompanied, and The New York Times bestselling memoir, SOLITO. Zamora has received more than a dozen fellowships and awards.
