Our speaker this month is :
Minnie Ringland who serves as ReFED’s Climate Analyst, studying the greenhouse gas emissions factors used to link food waste to climate change, and working to improve our understanding of food waste's impact. ReFed is a nonprofit food waste solution organization. Minnie holds a Master’s degree from the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management.
Minnie will speak about
Key food waste statistics and an explanation of the ways that food waste contributes to climate change. She will also speak about the environmental issues that relate to food waste - biodiversity, circular economy, regenerative agriculture, etc. She will provide us with food waste solutions, with particular emphasis on consumer behavior and "end-of-life" food waste management.
