Fighting for the Parents Bills of Rights House Republicans passed the Parents Bill of Rights — a bill to guarantee parents across America a seat at the table when it comes to their children's education. The targeting of concerned parents by the federal government is wrong and un-American. Parents have a right to be heard. Lower Energy Costs Act - Passed Thursday the House PASSED the bipartisan Lower Energy Costs Act! I was proud to vote in favor of this commonsense bill to lower energy costs for Kansas families, reverse burdensome Biden regulations, and get America back on the path toward energy independence. I promised Kansans that I would take action to put our nation back on the path toward energy independence and lower costs for hard-working families. The Lower Energy Costs Act is a crucial first step in making good on that commitment. Watch my floor speech on H.R. 1, HERE: Blocking Biden's WOTUS Rule The Senate passed House Republican's bipartisan bill on Wednesday to block President Biden's new WOTUS rule. This overreaching rule would force more costly and burdensome regulations on Kansas farmers, ranchers, and producers. Read more HERE Holding Biden Accountable The botched withdrawal from Afghanistan resulted in $7.2 BILLION worth of military equipment left to the Taliban, Americans stranded behind enemy lines & 13 brave U.S. servicemembers tragically killed while defending freedom. President Biden must be held accountable for this disaster. Increasing Awareness & Education for Blood Clots This week, I had the honor of introducing Katie Hoff to the House Appropriations Committee. Katie is a 3-time U.S. Olympic medalist and pulmonary embolism survivor. Katie testified during a subcommittee hearing about the need to increase awareness and education for blood clots! Examining the Formula Shortage Crisis Last summer, Kansas families struggled to find baby formula for their children. This crisis could have been prevented but the Biden administration failed to act. The Oversight Committee is launching an investigation into how the formula shortage unfolded so we can put forward solutions to ensure it never happens again. Read more HERE Meeting with Kansas Association of Conservation Districts It was great meeting with the Kansas Association of Conservation Districts in Washington last week. These Kansans help folks in our communities address natural resource needs, such as soil and water conservation. Thanks for stopping by! Honoring our Veterans!
