John,

Once again, we’re breaking records we never wanted to.

Ocean temperatures have already reached a record-high 21 degrees Celsius this year, with waters warming at an accelerated rate in just a matter of weeks.

Alarm bells are going off, John. Because it’s about to get worse. A predicted El Niño climate pattern is heading our way, which means ocean temperatures will continue to climb. These warmer waters create a feedback loop in the weather system that trigger extreme droughts in some parts of the world and extreme floods in other parts.

Our oceans demand urgent action to help them heal and prevent further damage. Donate to SEEC PAC today to support our members who are taking immediate steps to protect our oceans for this generation and the next.

Covering more than 70% of the Earth’s surface, our planet’s oceans are crucial to our way of life. They produce enormous amounts of our food, provide millions of jobs, and help us combat climate change.

These warming ocean trends emphasize what SEEC and the latest IPCC report have been calling for: The time for action is now.

SEEC members understand the urgency that we must have to mitigate more damage to our oceans and other natural resources, and are fighting day in and day out in Congress to protect our planet. Will you rush a donation today to support their efforts?
