Dear Friend ,

Spring is a celebration of renewal and rebirth. It's also ideal for marking Earth Day, a time when we renew our commitment to protection of our planet. With great pleasure, I'd like to announce our own sort of rebirth, the grand re-opening of our Columbus field office!

Help us celebrate Earth Day with a special gift to build critical field capacity across Ohio.

We understand that every person has the power to create change, and that's why we're launching our Earth Day campaign focused on what we do best: door-to-door democracy and canvassing. We want to inform and empower individuals like you to take action and make a difference.

Please welcome our new Columbus canvass director, Angie Greer

Angie grew up in a community heavily affected by water issues. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice with a focus on Women's and Gender Studies from Eastern Michigan University. After living through the Flint Water Crisis, Angie decided to focus on working to bring about real change for not only her community, but all communities that suffer due to environmental injustices.

Angie worked previously at Clean Water Action as a Canvass Director in their East Lansing office. She married her husband Eudomar in July of 2021. Angie is motivated to advocate for change in the communities that need it most.

Here's the home of our new Columbus office

Our plans to open a Columbus office in 2020 were derailed by the pandemic, so it's wonderful to share this news. Our new home is at 4400 North High Street in Columbus in a building designed with energy efficiency in mind. Every year it eliminates 558 metric tons of C02, or enough to remove 121 cars from the road. It also puts us back in the state capitol, where we need to be, and improves our ability to reach Central-Ohio neighbors at their doors.

Your Earth Day gift matched this week

We have a special match challenge going this first week of our Earth Day appeal. Every gift received this week will be matched, up to $3,500, so please be as generous as you can, since your special gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar.

Together, we can create change and protect our planet for generations to come. Please consider making a donation today to support Ohio Citizen Action's Earth Day campaign.

Thank you for your support!
