Join us! RSVP now for our Week of Action – and help fight for a better democracy in honor of Common Cause’s late president, Karen Hobert Flynn >>
John, it’s no secret that our democracy is under attack from racist, anti-voter extremism.
But rather than giving in to the Big Money forces behind voter suppression, Common Cause members like you have shown up to fight back for positive change at every turn.
We’re so inspired by the resilience and commitment of our activists and volunteers. People like you are carrying forward the work that Common Cause’s president Karen Hobert Flynn, who passed away last month, spent her career fighting for.
Karen knew the importance of grassroots activism and the power of everyday people to pass transformative ethics and good government reforms at every level. That’s why this week, we’re launching our Week of Action in her name.
We’ll be honoring Karen's legacy by making calls to pass early voting in her home state of Connecticut, writing letters to the editor of our local newspapers to stop a dangerous Article V convention, recruiting Election Protection volunteers, and more.
We’re kicking everything off this Monday, April 3rd at 8pm Eastern with a special webinar featuring activists who worked with Karen throughout her time at Common Cause. RSVP now to reserve your spot!
Karen inspired countless volunteers with her commitment to a better democracy. Throughout the week, you’ll hear stories from activists that she worked with and learn how you can continue her work in the states and nationally.
John, as we reflect on Karen’s lifetime of service, we want to thank you – and all Common Cause members – for all you’ve done for our democracy. We're so proud of the work that Common Cause has done to protect voting rights and demand accountability from our elected officials.
Karen’s work continues, and with your help, we can achieve the inclusive, transparent, and fair democracy she fought so tirelessly for.
Please join us on Monday as we kick off our Week of Action honoring Karen and celebrating her legacy of service to the common good.
Thanks for all you do,
Marilyn Carpinteyro and Jordan Davis, Interim Co-Presidents
and the team at Common Cause
