As we start the new year, it’s important that we here at Mercy Corps know what’s important to our supporters. We believe strongly that this organization is a community — a community of humanitarians, banding together to help people in crisis first survive and then rebuild their lives. That means we all have a stake — and a say — in where and how we go about our work. So, if you have a minute, tell us what issues or parts of the world are top of mind for you right now. Where do you hope to see the most progress made this year? Is it the global challenge of climate change, which is already fueling much more powerful and devastating storms, like the ones Puerto Ricans and Bahamians are still recovering from today? Is it the lingering conflict in Syria, where so many kids will turn nine years old this year having never known anything other than uncertainty and displacement after years of violence? Is it something else? Somewhere else? Understanding where you want to make a difference will help us learn how to better communicate with you, so I really appreciate you taking a moment to share. And thank you, as always, for reading our messages, connecting and staying involved with Mercy Corps. Sincerely, Adrienne Karecki, Mercy Corps Chief Development and Marketing Officer |
