Our fight to elect Judge Janet Protasiewicz keeps me up at night, John. As Chair of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, I’ve talked to people all across the state fired up and ready to flip the Court and elect good progressives like Janet.

I’m so grateful for all of the support we’ve seen to elect progressives in Wisconsin and beyond.

Still, I stay awake at night because it might not be enough. In 2019, internal polling showed progressives way up at this point in the race. Then, at what felt like the last moment, far-right groups flooded money in Wisconsin, massively tilting the scales in favor of the MAGA-backed judge. Those vicious attack ads made the difference - we ended up losing in 2019 by just 5,981 votes.  

Thanks to Democrats like you - knocking doors, chipping in whatever they can, and mobilizing their networks to vote for our commonsense candidate - we’ve built an impressive movement to win in April. Still, MAGA-backed Dan Kelly is bragging that the far-right “cavalry is on the way” to prop up his right-wing extremism in the final 4 days of this election.

The fate of democracy in Wisconsin, and the nation as a whole, is at stake. If far-right extremist Dan Kelly wins, he’ll be the deciding vote against voting rights, fair maps, and abortion access for millions of Americans. With our priorities on the line, I couldn’t live with myself if we sat back and let this election play out just like 2019 did, John.

My team has set an ambitious goal of raising $250,000 to help elect commonsense candidates like Judge Janet Protasiewicz before our deadline.
