Soros-backed District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s witch-hunt targeting President Donald Trump is a political persecution with purely malicious intent.
Bragg has repeatedly allowed violent criminals to walk the streets, downgrading 52% of felony charges to misdemeanors. Yet now he has decided to spend precious taxpayer dollars and resources on this outrageous case against Donald Trump, and only after he announced he was running for president.
Every American should be concerned about this gross abuse of power and the politicized two-tiered system of justice we now have in America. I once again call on Governor Kathy Hochul to act. Uphold the rule of law and remove Alvin Bragg from office for, among other things, his failure to enforce the law and his blatant politicization of the criminal justice system.

This legislation will increase America’s energy independence and reduce gas prices for families across the country.
Joe Biden declared war on American energy production on day one of his presidency, causing the average price for a gallon of gas to skyrocket by over 40%. Families across the country and in New York's 24th District continue to feel the pain at the gas pump because of his reckless policies.
This week, with the passage of the Lower Energy Costs Act, American families can rest assured that House Republicans are committed to stopping the left’s dangerous anti-American energy agenda that is causing outrageous price hikes and putting our national security at risk. I was honored to cosponsor and vote for H.R. 1, which boosts American energy production, streamlines supply chains, lowers costs, and works to make our country energy independent once again.

This week, I cosponsored the Dairy Pricing Opportunity Act of 2023, which ensures dairy farmers can price their products to reflect today’s market environment. This bill will increase transparency and modernize the Federal Milk Marketing Order (FMMO) system, giving our farmers confidence that any future changes to the program reflect economic fundamentals.
I am honored to represent New York's 24th District, the largest dairy-producing district in the Northeast. The Dairy Pricing Opportunity Act ensures that dairy farmers and producers across New York can stay competitive amidst rising inflation rates, labor costs, and energy prices. This bill is essential so farmers can focus on the important work of producing food for our nation. - I voted “Yes” on H.R. 1, the Lower Energy Costs Act. Over the past two years of the Biden Administration, Americans have been suffering from historically high energy, gas, and diesel prices. This makes it unaffordable for countless Americans to heat their homes, travel to work, or power their lives—this is a simply unacceptable product of the administration’s far-left anti-energy policies. In response, H.R. 1 will hold the Biden administration accountable by streamlining the bureaucracy and cutting red tape to help make it cheaper and faster to build domestic energy and critical mineral projects. It will also require the Department of Interior to follow the law and immediately resume quarterly lease sales on federal lands. We cannot let the Biden administration’s failed policies make us more reliant on often adversarial foreign powers for energy and the critical minerals we need to build the batteries and semiconductors that run our modern lives. I was honored to cosponsor this important piece of legislation, which is further proof that the new Republican majority in the House is continuing to work on behalf of the American people. This bill passed the House by a bipartisan vote of 225-204.
- I voted “Yes” on H.R. 1154, the Stop Forced Organ Harvesting Act of 2023. For years, the People’s Republic of China has forcibly harvested organs from prisoners of conscience and inmates, a blatant crime against humanity. As a response to these egregious acts, this bill will authorize the Secretary of State to deny passports and visas to anyone involved in illegal organ trafficking. It will also mandate an annual report on forced harvesting in foreign countries and encourage the administration to apply necessary sanctions. As a nation, we must stand for the sanctity of life and support persecuted groups. This bill passed the House by a vote of 413-2.
- I voted “Yes” on H.R. 1107, the PRC Is Not a Developing Country Act. Even though the People’s Republic of China is now the second-largest global economy and has rapidly increased its GDP per capita, it still benefits from many international programs meant to benefit the poorest of nations. In response, this bill requires the Department of State to influence international organizations to reclassify China as a high-income, upper-middle-income, or developed country instead of as a developing country. It will also make it the policy of the United States to dissuade those organizations from granting China any preferential treatment as a developing country. We can no longer let China profit by manipulating the game and taking advantage of programs meant to help truly poor nations. This bill passed the House by a vote of 415-0.

Apply Now for the 2023 Congressional Art Competition |

This week, our office invited High School students from New York’s 24th district to participate in the 2023 Congressional Art Competition. The contest winner will have their artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol for a year. Started in 1982 by members of the U.S. House of Representatives, High School students across the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. territories are invited to participate in a nationwide annual art competition. Since its creation, over 650,000 high school students have submitted their artwork to the contest.
The deadline to submit artwork to be judged by members of the local art community will be Friday, April 21, 2023.
