It’s our biggest local elections campaign yet.

More than half of England’s 230 councils have elections on 4 May, and we are contesting seats in most of them.

We are defending a record number of seats and want to make big gains too, winning power on more councils and breaking through into new areas.

It’s a huge challenge but we can do it with your help. 

Greens are already building fairer greener communities up and down the country.

💚 Take Herefordshire council where Greens, part of the ruling coalition, scrapped a costly bypass investing in public transport, cycling, and walking instead.

💚 Or Green-led Lancaster which built a solar farm to power a huge leisure centre cutting costs and CO2 emissions and safeguarding a vital community resource.

💚 While in Winchester, a lone Green councillor worked with opposition parties to introduce changes to make it more difficult to pump sewage into local rivers.

The stories are inspiring. The impact is real.  Elected Greens are improving the lives of local communities and helping us move faster to net zero.

That’s why we are working tirelessly to win more seats, gain power on more councils and break through into more areas than ever before.
