John,
I’m Greg Casar, and I’m the newest progressive member of Congress from Texas. But my first few months in Congress would not be the same without my friend, Becca Balint. Let me share just a bit about our ongoing fight:
House Republicans just passed a bill to defund public schools that 1) allow transgender children to participate in sports or 2) allow books on LGBTQ history in their classrooms.
This bill is part of a growing movement – we’ve seen these same bills brought up in my home state of Texas, but now Republican extremists are using the same playbook in Congress, and we need your help.
I’m proud to be working and fighting alongside leaders like Becca, but I know our movement will only succeed if we're able to come together and grow the power of progressive voices in Congress. If you’re with us, split a donation between our campaigns now before our first FEC deadline of 2023 tonight.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
Extremists want to turn our classrooms into a battlefield for waging divisive culture wars – and our students, educators, and LGBTQ youth deserve better.
Becca and I both know that Congress should be working on issues that impact every family – from health care, to affordability, to housing, to the climate crisis. But instead, we’re having to defend basic rights.
We need a groundswell of support to push back against the ongoing wave of hateful legislation, so that Congress can get to work for the people. Before tonight’s FEC deadline, can you split a contribution between our campaigns to elevate the voices of progressives fighting for all American families in Washington?
Thank you so much for your support,
Greg Casar
Congressman
Texas Congressional District 35
P.S. Becca and I have also been known to share a few songs together, in-between fighting for working families.
