Serving as the executive director of EMILYs List since 2017 has been an honor and a privilege. (And being introduced as "Emily from EMILYs List" never got old!) Today is my last day, and I'm excited to send one final email about the power of EMILYs List and this community.

EMILYs List continues to change the face of power in this country by electing a diverse group of Democratic pro-choice women to office, up and down the ballot, and all across the country. Since 1985, that impact has been possible because of two things: The brave candidates who step up to run, and you, the supporters who have their back.

While it may be the end of the month, the end of the fiscal quarter, and the end of my time at EMILYs List, it's not the end of anything, really — just a turn of the page to a new chapter for me, and the start of another crucial election cycle for EMILYs List.

I became an EMILYs List member in 2008, and I carry my annual membership card with me to this day. Making long-term change in American politics takes time. It also takes early investment, sustained commitment, and an unflappable belief in our central mission to elect more Democratic pro-choice women everywhere.

When those pieces are in place, the work we do here changes the world. Just in the last few years at EMILYs List we have made history and broken glass ceilings by helping build and sustain majorities in Congress and state legislatures, expand pro-choice majorities at every level of office, elect a record number of governors, and elect a woman as vice president of the United States. I'm so proud to have been at EMILYs List to be a part of it all.

Change of that magnitude is made possible by starting now, early in the election cycle, and pledging to be part of the fight for the days, weeks, months, and years ahead. Thank you for the support you've shown EMILYs List (and me!) for the past six years.
