Unleashing American Energy 

Friend,

With energy costs high and impacting inflation, this week I helped pass legislation to unleash American energy. Higher energy costs remain a key driver of inflation. High energy costs not only impact our gas and home heating bills, but also impact grocery costs. To bring down costs, we must implement an all of the above energy approach. The House voted this week on the Lower Energy Costs Act (H.R. 1), a vital step in the pursuit of restoring American energy independence and bringing down costs for Wisconsin families.

I supported the Lower Energy Costs Act. The legislation is focused on five key provisions:

     1. Increasing domestic energy production

     2. Reforming the permitting process for all industries

     3. Reversing anti-energy policies

     4. Streamlining energy infrastructure

     5. Boosting the production of critical minerals

The best, most sustainable way to bring costs down, and create jobs right here in the USA, is to unleash American energy and restore American energy independence. We can produce energy right here at home. Domestic energy resources are the cleanest in the world. This legislation would bring down the cost of energy, protect the environment, and provide relief for families.

To bring down costs, we must unleash American energy, stop excessive spending, and help get workers back to work. I want to hear your thoughts.
