Remember where we were at the beginning of the Biden presidency in 2021? COVID-19 had torn our communities apart, our nation experienced an attempted insurrection, and millions were out of work and struggling to pay the bills.
In a proud moment, we came together as Americans to meet the moment. We passed the first significant gun safety legislation in three decades. We passed the Inflation Reduction Act — a broad bill addressing climate change, health care costs, and many other pressing issues. We protected marriage for LGBTQI+ and interracial couples and put our economy back on track to prosperity.
My, how things have changed.
With Kevin McCarthy at the helm and his extremist friends by his side, House Republicans are trying to pull the rug out from the American people and undo our progress. We're here to put a stop to their cruel, bad politics.
