In just one week’s time, the state’s legislature passed both

The Protecting Children from Gender Mutilation Act , which makes transgender surgery on minors illegal within the state.
The Republican-backed bills are facing immense criticism from so-called “civil rights activists” and other members of the extreme Left, and conservative pundits are expecting a major blowback in the coming days and weeks.
