I know you’ve heard from my team a lot this week, and I appreciate you sticking with us.
John, asking for money is probably my least favorite part of campaigning, and I know it might feel like overkill to be so focused on hitting monthly goals this early in the campaign. But the truth is, National Republicans have already identified me as a top target and it’s crucial that we prepare for whatever they throw our way.
Tonight is a big night for our campaign. After tonight, my team will file our fundraising report to the Federal Election Commission, and then everyone – including Kevin McCarthy and the dark money groups that spent almost $8 million against us last year – will be able to see the strength of our grassroots movement. That’s why it’s so important to me that we put forward the strongest showing possible.
