GOP Women Lead to Protect Children and Parents
Last week GOP women continued their fight to protect the rights of parents and children by passing the Parents’ Bill of Rights!
House Republicans passed legislation to give parents the right to:
Know what is being taught in schools and see all reading materials
Be heard
See school budget and spending
Protect their child’s privacy
Be updated on violence in their schools
The bill was introduced by the House Education and Labor Committee, which is made up of eight incredible GOP Women, and spearheaded by Congresswoman Julia Letlow!
Congresswoman Julia Letlow shared this statement on the passing of the Bill:

“Parents are the primary stakeholders in their child’s education and House Republicans are working to protect their right to know what is going on inside their child’s classroom.”
- House GOP Conference Chair Elise Stefanik (NY-21)
“This bill is not complex or complicated…Nor should it be partisan or polarizing, and contrary to what you may hear from my colleagues on the other side of the aisle, it is not an attack on our hard-working teachers, who will always be the heroes in my eyes.” - Sponsor of the Bill, Congresswoman Julia Letlow (LA-05)
“Safeguarding parental rights is the furthest thing from a fascist position — it’s about upholding the God-given rights of parents to make decisions for their children. Maybe instead of pandering to their Leftist base, Democrats should read the bill — unless that’s too much to ask…” - House Education and Workforce Chair, Congresswoman Virginia Foxx
“When you open the TikTok app it would say, ‘This app has been banned by the federal government (to prevent its employees from using it),’ so you know there are concerns around this app,” - Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers (WA-05)

"The website for the Clinic states that your primary and specialty care teams provide, among other things, '[h]ormone replacement therapy…There is no mention of any parental consent requirement for such therapy or for other medical services provided to youth who have not reached the age of majority." - Congresswoman Virginia Foxx (NC-05)
