Tell John Roberts to do his job and stop enabling Trump's illegal behavior!

It’s really shameless, what John Roberts has been doing —

During his confirmation hearing back in 2005, John Roberts tried to convince the Senate that the Chief Justice’s job is like an umpire’s: “it's my job to call balls and strikes and not to pitch or bat.” But his Supreme Court rulings have been anything but impartial — and now as the judge presiding over Trump’s impeachment, he’s at it again. He’s passing notes with Susan Collins and shushing Democratic impeachment managers. He’s letting Trump’s lawyers lie to the Senate without getting called out and allowing Republicans to commit gross violations of the stated rules.

Roberts is letting Republicans break the rules and run a sham trial because he’s a partisan Republican who falls in line with the GOP agenda. Tell John Roberts to stop enabling the Republican coverup and start doing his job: 202-479-3000.

Now, Roberts might even help Republicans cover up key evidence. John Bolton — a former Trump administration official — has corroborated the core allegations against Donald Trump in his book manuscript, and now he’s indicated that he’s willing to tell his story directly to the Senate and the American people. Roberts has the power to subpoena him and other potential witnesses. He has the authority and the responsibility to put truth and law above his party. He needs to hear from us every day until he does.
