As we celebrate Women's History Month, we recognize the vital role that women have played in shaping our world and advancing social justice. At Advancement Project, our mission to promote racial equity and police-free communities is deeply rooted in honoring these achievements and continuing the work of the trailblazers who came before us.

Throughout history, Black women have been at the forefront of the movement toward police-free communities. Heroes like Angela Davis, Mariame Kaba, Patrisse Cullors, Opal Tometi, Alicia Garza, and more, have been instrumental in advancing racial justice, equity, and the movement toward true liberation.

These women have led and inspired organizations like Black Lives Matter and BYP100, playing pivotal roles in addressing systemic issues and creating positive change in our society.

It is essential to recognize the importance of intersectionality in our advocacy for police-free communities. We must strive to listen to and amplify the voices of women most impacted by policing and racial injustice.

At the Advancement Project, we continue to honor the legacy of the trailblazing women who have contributed to the fight for racial equity and police-free communities. [[link removed]]
