This week, House Republicans triumphantly passed the crucial Lower Energy Costs Act (H.R.1), a bill designed to unleash America's untapped energy prowess. Since President Biden assumed office, I have championed legislation aimed at reopening vital pipelines and drilling on federal lands, providing Americans with much-needed relief from skyrocketing gas and oil prices. H.R.1 prioritizes American citizens over Biden's Green New Deal, reinstating our nation's energy potential, and I am honored to have cast my vote in favor of this legislation.
I also intend to reintroduce the Think Tank and Nonprofit Foreign Influence Disclosure Act, ensuring that foreign actors and predatory governments do not manipulate the White House's energy policies.

The DOJ Continues to Play Partisan Politics by Not Declaring the Nashville Shooting a Hate Crime
The Department of Justice's decision not to immediately classify the appalling Nashville shooting as a hate crime is an alarming display of inconsistency and negligence. By neglecting to label the Nashville shooting as a hate crime, the DOJ has not only undermined the gravity of this heinous act but also failed to recognize and confront the hate and intolerance that fueled it.
This is not the first time that the DOJ has failed to protect faith-based communities. Attacks on crisis pregnancy centers, churches, and other conservative Christian organizations often go ignored by Biden's weaponized Department of Justice. That's why I penned a letter, along with my colleague Rep. Ogles (R-Tenn), demanding that the DOJ immediately take action and classify the Nashville shooting as a crime of hate.
Under the Biden Administration oil prices have skyrocketed. Reliance on foreign energy exports can make the United States vulnerable to energy shortages.
Texas Republican Rep. Lance Gooden took the Biden Administration to task over their failure to address a rising tide of illegal Chinese immigrants. Rep. Gooden, along with his colleagues Rep. Tiffany (R-Texas), Rep. Perry (R-Pennsylvania), and Rep. Ogles (R-Tennessee), penned a letter to DHS Secretary Mayorkas calling for sanctions on China for refusing to cooperate in taking back its illegal immigrants.
DAILY CALLER: EXCLUSIVE: GOP REP DEMANDS STATE DEPARTMENT RESCUE CHINESE AND AMERICAN CHRISTIANS DETAINED IN THAILAND
Texas Republican Rep. Lance Gooden is calling on the State Department to intervene on behalf of Chinese and American Christians detained by Thai police currently facing imprisonment in China, according to a letter obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation. Rep. Gooden told Secretary of State Antony Blinken that the State Department should be "doing everything in its power to ensure these 63 Chinese Christians and 2 Americans are not faced with repatriation and, consequently, interrogation and abuse."
