Have you heard the pro-abortion argument using the analogy of a famous violinist?
Abortion advocates use it to argue that a woman’s bodily autonomy trumps a preborn child’s right to life. The argument goes like this:
Imagine if you woke up one morning and found yourself attached to a machine that connects your body to a famous violinist.
The violinist is unconscious and has a fatal illness, and you alone have the right blood type to save her life.
The violinist’s circulatory system was plugged into yours, and she will only survive her illness if you stay attached to her for nine months. If you don’t stay connected to her, she will die.
