It's simple, John -- Carolyn is running for Congress to put the people of Washington’s 3rd District first -- when it comes to increasing health care access, providing adequate resources for our community to address and treat addiction, and fighting for campaign finance reform. Her opponent, Jaime Herrera Beutler, is working to maintain the status quo set by Republican leaders in D.C.: She’s been listening to DC lobbyists -- taking their money and marching orders -- and has said she voted more than 80 times to gut protections for pre-existing conditions and health care coverage (the number was around 40).
We need to end the same old politics that have plagued Congress to the detriment of this community. I’m rejecting corporate PAC money because it’s time to change DC-- not conform to the status quo. We still need to raise $8,643 before Friday’s deadline. Can you chip in a donation tonight?
