This is terrible and deadly news, John.
Florida state legislators just passed permitless carry and NRA darling Gov. Ron DeSantis will sign it into law as soon as possible. This means that ANYONE can carry a concealed weapon ANYWHERE in Florida.
These lawmakers are blatantly ignoring the will of their constituents – across party lines, 77% of Floridians oppose permitless carry. Lawmakers passed these deadly laws anyway and now the majority of the states in the U.S. exist under permitless carry. We have to stop this deadly crusade, John. Far-right lawmakers with extremist interpretations of the Second Amendment will continue to do everything they can to pass these laws – in fact, lawmakers in South Carolina and Nebraska are following Florida’s lead and forcing permitless carry bills through state legislatures.
