We've been talking a lot about how Kevin McCarthy and the NRCC have named Val one of their top targets for 2024, and how far they'll go to attack her.

Now let's talk about why they're so determined to defeat Val.

First, a quick reminder that the first major fundraising deadline of this campaign is just 12 hours away. We're more than 90% of the way to our goal. Will you donate $7 before midnight to get us over the line?

The simple fact is that DC Republicans (and the wealthy funders who pull their strings) are afraid of Val – and they should be.

In her time in public service, Val's built a record of getting things done for working families: Paid sick days for all workers. The largest education budgets in state history. Automatic voter registration. Universal background checks for gun sales. Raising Oregon's minimum wage. Establishing the state's Clean Fuels Program. Holding companies accountable when they fail their workers.

When we say that Val will stand up to special interests to deliver for us, it's because we've already seen her do it.

So it's no wonder that those same special interests spent millions to try to keep her out of Congress last year, and why they're doubling down on the effort next year.

Here's the thing: the NRCC and their corporate donors don't understand that it's not just Val Hoyle who's standing up to them. It's all of us in this grassroots movement. We're thousands strong, and we're not going to let them stop us from building an America that works for all of us, not just the wealthy few.
